Introduction

You are welcome to participate in the Individual Ukrainian Championships, selecting races for the Ukrainian national team for WOC'2007. The program of the Individual Ukrainian Championship is in many aspects similar to the WOC'2007 program.

Competitors

The athletes compete on an individual basis within the following categories: M/W 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21E, 21A, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, Open. The non-Ukrainian athletes participate out of scoring .

Embargoed Areas

In addition to the WOC'2007 embargoed areas, the following maps (which are the maps for WOC'2007 training camp 2) are embargoed: Feofaniya, Zazimye, Tsvetovodstvo, Nivki Park , Solomensky Park , and Koncha Zaspa. Opportunities for Training

Given the limited number of new maps, WOC'2007 training camp 2 is rescheduled to 1-20 June 2007.

Before the Individual Ukrainian Championships the Organizers may provide the maps for WOC'2007 training camp 1 (autumn 2006) with the exceptions indicated above.

All maps of the Individual Ukrainian Championships are drawn by the WOC'2007 map-makers' team. Terrains for the Individual Ukrainian Championships courses were selected to resemble the terrains for the relevant WOC'2007 courses.

Additional Information

The Organizers intend to use Sport Ident punching/timing system. Start gates and photo-finish will be employed for categories M/W21E at Sprint race.

Qualification races for M/W21E athletes will be held in heats.

Qualification system:

  • Categories M/W21E – 50%+1 athlete who showed the better result in each heat of the Qualification race (but not fewer than 15 athletes from each heat) qualify for Final A. Other athletes qualify for Final B. The non-Ukrainian athletes who qualified for Final A are added as a separate group to Final A start list;
  • Other categories – 20 athletes who showed the better result in the Qualification race qualify for Final A. Other athletes qualify for Final B.

Athletes may participate in a limited number of races, which are either 3 Qualification races or 3 Final races. In the latter case the athlete is entered into Final B start list.

Event Centre

Event Centre will be located at Berezhanska St. , 6, in the premises of School 22 (see Event Center Location Map at the Individual Ukrainian Championship web-site)

Accommodation and transport

The Organizers assume that the national teams which want to participate in the Individual Ukrainian Championship will come to Ukraine within the framework of WOC'2007 training camp 2. In such case, entries for accommodation and transportation are to be submitted in ET-2 Form (see Entry Forms at WOC'2007 web-site). Otherwise, upon a specific request, the Organizers may send the information on the championship and accept the entries for accommodation and transportation.

Climate

In recent years, the average temperature in the beginning of June has been 18-25C°, humidity – 80-95%. Short rains/showers may occur.

Model Events

There are opportunities for training with a map at a model area situated 1 km away from the Event Centre.

Entries and entry fee

Entry fee for participation in the Individual Ukrainian Championship is EUR 48 (for all days) or EUR 10 per day (limited participation). SI-card rent is EUR 3 for all days of participation.

The entry should contain the following information:

  • first name, family name and category of an athlete;
  • number of a SI-card (if available) or request for a SI-card;
  • first name, family name, tel./fax, e-mail of the team/group representative.

Please, keep in mind that:

  • entry forms should be filled in and submitted in accordance with the instructions provided therein (which is required by the local bank regulations);
  • any bank charges/commissions are due from the payer;
  • please, indicate in the payment order that payment destination is “Competition entry fee”
